Hey all, just want to make sure i'm not missing something here but is there a way to get a notification that a Cribl Edge node has gone offline?

A few options: 1. Monitor for the internal logs at a destination of your choosing and if they do not come in, there is an issue 2. use the api/v1/health endpoint in something like a rest collector (or any which way youd like). This also appears in the internal logs as well 3. External method (such as your own ping test or something)

Thanks Daniel, we have option 1 setup in most places but the issue is it focuses on 'log type' so if we have two hosts with the same log type and one drops off we'd like to know about it Option 2 seems to only show health for the workspace, is there anything that give us that for the workers/edge nodes? as this could definitely work in a playbook for us Option 3 would only work for us if we can ping something via Cribl externally

So option 2 you would have to put the workers IP address in like so: curl -X 'GET' 10.1.0.149:9000/api/v1/health -H 'accept: application/json' Here is one of my local workers that I use for testing
