Symptom
When you try to enable SAML in Cribl Stream with Ping Identity configured to sign with SHA-384, this error appears:
“An unexpected error has occurred.
Please check the logs for more info: Error: hash algorithm ‘http://www.w3.org/2001/04/xmldsig-more#sha384’ is not supported.”
Environment
- Cribl Stream SAML authentication
- Ping Identity configured for SHA-384 SAML signatures
Resolution
Ask your Ping Identity administrator to configure SAML signing to use SHA-256 or SHA-512 instead of SHA-384.
Cause
Cribl Stream does not support SHA-384 for SAML signatures.
