Delinea to Cribl Connection

Hello.  I am a total newb with API integrations and was hoping for someone to help me set up an integration between Delinea and Cribl.  I again am totally new at this and just dabbled at a couple of Cribl University courses but I need to get on the fast lane.  Is there anyone that has done this already than can walk me through this configuration.  If there is any additional details needed to clarify please let me know. 

So far in the Delinea platform I have followed their instructions and enabled the Syslog/CEF Logging option.  As for the entries I had to enter into the field I’m not sure if I did this right.
On the Cribl side I tried setting up a Syslog Source but not sure what to enter into the field either.

I know it’s a bit too late probably, but would you share the settings on Cribl side? What problem are you encountering?

I don’t see any template on GitHub (https://github.com/criblio/collector-templates) so you are doing good integrating it with Syslog

Hi Angelo.  Thanks for responding.  Shockingly 200 youtube videos later I was able to figure it out.  I versed myself enough with Cribl to know what to do, and after picking the right port to talk on I got the integration to work.  That being said if there is anyone that has this same configuration in their company feel free to comment and I can give you a walk through.  Its very generic without any filters but if you just need to get Delinea to talk to Cribl then let me know.

Just one question, did you use Syslog right?

Yes.  Syslog.  Thats what Delinea uses or CEF, but there is no CEF option in Cribl unless I missed that somewhere.  Then from there I chose the Quick Connect option and as long as thr API creds are correct and port you are using is allowed you should be good.

CEF it’s just a format, while Syslog is an entire protocol and a consolidate way to send logs, that’s the reason for that.

Thanks for the info.  Never heard of CEF before.
