How can I migrate my current workers to a new leader and maintain the configuration in a new worker group?

If you are using the community version, Worker group configs are located in /opt/cribl/groups//, copy this folder to another server.

Then update the $CRIBL_HOME/local/cribl/groups.yml file with new group name.
